The fuel level measurement relies on the fuel level detection system composed of the fuel level sensor and the fuel gauge. The oil level sensor, usually called the oil float, is a sensing device for the fuel level. It uses the change of the capacitance between the sensor housing and the induction electrode after the oil enters the container, and converts this change into a current change to detect the position (height) of the oil in the container.

In the process of use, it is inevitable that there will be times when replacement and maintenance are needed. If you do not know the method of disassembly very well, it will easily cause damage to the fuel level sensor. During use, not only the installation method of the fuel level sensor is very important to the user, but also its disassembly method is indispensable. So what is the removal method of the fuel level sensor?

(1) Before removing the fuel level sensor, use a manual pump or siphon method to drain the fuel in the fuel tank.

(2) Remove the battery negative cable.

(3) Disconnect the electrical wiring connector from the sensor.

(4) Loosen the cap nut, and then pull the fuel level sensor upward and rearward from the fuel tank.

(5) Install in the reverse order of removal. It is worth noting that when installing the cover nut, put two type sealing rings and ensure that the lug of the sensor flange face is downward.
