With the development of science and technology, intelligent automobile has become a trend. Among them, smart car sensors play a vital role. They are the eyes, ears and nose of smart cars, which can sense the surrounding environment and provide real-time information to the vehicle to ensure driving safety.
Smart car sensors can sense the environment around the vehicle, including road conditions, vehicle location, obstacles, etc. For example, radar sensors can detect the distance and speed of obstacles, while lidar can generate detailed 3D images of the surrounding environment. These sensors transmit the collected information to the vehicle's control system to provide a basis for the vehicle's driving; smart car sensors can also detect the state of the vehicle itself. For example, tire pressure sensors can monitor tire pressure in real time to ensure that the vehicle remains stable during driving. The acceleration sensor can detect the acceleration and deceleration of the vehicle and provide a basis for the braking and acceleration of the vehicle; the smart car sensor can also interact with other smart devices. For example, an intelligent vehicle-mounted system may be connected to a mobile phone through a Wi-Fi to realize seamless switching of functions such as navigation and music. The Internet of Vehicles technology can realize information sharing between vehicles and improve road safety and traffic efficiency.
Automobile sensors are the core components to improve the driving experience and avoid potential safety hazards. They can be divided into body perception sensors and environment perception sensors according to different purposes of use. The focus of the body perception sensor is to improve the information level of the bicycle itself, so that the vehicle has the ability to perceive itself. According to the input measured, it is mainly divided into pressure sensor, position sensor, temperature sensor, (linear) acceleration sensor, angular (plus) speed sensor, air flow sensor and gas sensor, and MEMS scheme is mostly adopted. The environmental perception sensor realizes the perception ability of the bicycle to the external environment, enables the car to make planning decisions through the environment, and provides support for intelligent driving. Environmental perception sensors are mainly divided into on-board cameras, ultrasonic radar, millimeter wave radar, and lidar. High-tech automotive environmental perception sensors will be vigorously developed and applied to autonomous driving technology. There are more and more sensors on the car body. It is estimated that the number of sensors in L4 cars will exceed 15, while the number of sensors in L5 cars will exceed 80 in the future.
